Start the Day

26 Apr

I’m not much of a morning person, it’s true.  I often find I am more productive later in the evenings (case and point, writing this blog post at 11:00 p.m.) which means I stay up later than I should some nights.  I also love rolling over in the morning, even if I don’t fall back to sleep.  Being a not-so-morning person means I need a little bit of time to be quiet when I first wake up.  I need a routine.  Usually, it looks something like this:

Alarm #1.

Reach for phone.  Check email (bad habit, I know).

Alarm #2.

Roll out of bed.

Open Pandora app on phone.

Listen to music.  Get ready.

Sip coffee (sweetly prepared by SD).

Get dressed.  Accessorize.

Get things together for the day (lesson plans, laptop, calendar, bag lunch, etc.)

Kiss SD goodbye.  Grab keys and sunglasses.

Leave the house.

How do you start your day?

I get up and practice for a couple hours before leaving for work at 7!! My goal is to have 2 hours under my belt before I leave. Plus all the getting ready stuff of course. :) I’m the same way about having a couple alarms set so I have a litte warning before I have to get up! LOL

You go, girl! I, too, love practicing in the morning. :-)
